After working on a previous piece of Carol in her new costume I found that I really liked the change. So thought I do do a quick variation of my previous poster of her.

Captain Marvels Valentine

I actually did this as the ending of another piece and realized that today was valentine’s day. Completely not done on purpose.

Some catch phrases:

You make me feel like I’m on cloud nine.

Being with you is just magic.

You make my heart soar.

Too many phrases to just choose one.

Captain Marvel - Carol Danvers!

(from Marvel Comics)

This is going to be the first of two pieces the next being of course ‘Captain Marvel’ from DC Comics.

When Carols costume was at first changed I didn’t really like it. Then I got the idea to put the Captain Marvel’s against each other so I had to use her new ‘Captain Marvel’ outfit and not her Ms.Marvel outfit.

Having worked with the new uniform I actually like it alot now. The whole flight suit design is fun. Only thing I think I miss is the flowing sash from the old one.

Spotlight: Dark Phoenix!

Now having said how positive Jean is as a character…she is fun as Dark Phoenix and her evil alter ego of “Black Queen” ;)

Honestly I was introduced to the “Dark Phoenix” saga through the 90’s cartoon and the thing that sticks in my head is Wolverine screaming at her when she went evil.

So all together now: “JEEEEEAAANNNNN!!!!”

Spotlight: Phoenix!

Jean’s been kinda always a positive character I think, even when she became ‘dark’ it was her love which brought her back. (I know not Jean clone etc…bah bah..point still stands! ;) )

I like the contrast between her old uniform and the revival as the phoenix. Kinda fun.

Spotlight: Optimus Prime!

“Freedom is the right of all sentient beings.”

The big man himself Optimus Prime! His “Secret Identity” being Orion Pax who he was before be became Optimus.

Optimus is a great example of a noble and positive hero and if you haven’t everyone should watch the 1980’s Transformers movie. Just Awesome!
